STRIVE Program celebrates first cohort of military entrepreneurs

When Megan Andrews signed up for Kennesaw State University’s STRIVE entrepreneurship program, she had a business idea but needed help bringing it to life. Andrews was a participant in the inaugural cohort of STRIVE, an acronym for Startup Training Resources to Inspire Veteran Entrepreneurship, a free program offered by the Michael J. Coles College of Business at KSU in partnership with Syracuse University Institute for Veterans and Military Families, designed to help veterans and their families succeed in entrepreneurship.

The annual Elevator Pitch Challenge, a highlight of KSU’s Professional Sales program, took place at TK Elevator’s offices in Atlanta. As one of the world’s leading manufacturers of elevators and escalators, TK Elevator provided the perfect backdrop for the challenge, where each student had 60 seconds to pitch their personal brand to company executives while ascending 420 feet in Atlanta's fastest elevator.
