KENNESAW, Ga. | Oct 29, 2025
Kennesaw State University has been designated a 2025-2026 Military Spouse Friendly School by Viqtory, a leading organization dedicated to connecting military communities with civilian opportunities.
The Military Spouse Friendly School designation is awarded to institutions that demonstrate exceptional support for military families, including policies that accommodate unique challenges faced by military spouses, such as frequent relocations, career interruptions, and family responsibilities.
Kennesaw State earned the honor through its robust Military and Veteran Services program, which offers tailored resources, scholarship opportunities, and community-building initiatives for military-connected students and their families.
“We are honored to be recognized as a Military Spouse Friendly School,” said Stacey Dixon, director of KSU’s Military and Veteran Services. “Military spouses are the backbone of our armed forces community, and we are committed to providing them with the tools, flexibility, and support needed to thrive academically and professionally.”
KSU’s dedication to military-connected students includes priority registration, academic accommodations, career development workshops, and peer support networks. The University also collaborates with local and national organizations to expand opportunities for military spouses and enhance their educational experience.
This designation reflects KSU’s broader mission to foster an inclusive and empowering environment for all students, especially those who serve and support the U.S. through military service. In August, KSU became one of just two Georgia-based institutions to be named a Military Support College of Distinction, reflecting the University’s longstanding excellence in serving military-connected students. The recognition from Colleges of Distinction builds upon KSU’s recent Gold-level Military Friendly designation earned in 2024.
