The Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence (MSAI) at KSU stands as Georgia's second program of its kind. As an innovative, 30-credit hour interdisciplinary graduate program, you’ll be supported to excel with advanced knowledge in the rapidly evolving domain of AI. With an emphasis on experiential learning and problem solving, KSU’s MSAI will introduce you to in-depth studies of AI core principles and technologies, such as:

The MS in Artificial Intelligence incorporates existing curriculum and research strength in computer science, data science, information technology and software engineering. You can utilize its course projects, term projects, industrial internships, thesis or capstone to explore Artificial Intelligence and its application in different sectors, including defense and homeland security, ecommerce, engineering, finance, healthcare, etc.  

The interdisciplinary program will prepare you for jobs such as an AI application developer, ethics researcher, product manager, research scientist, solutions architect or algorithm developer.

Admissions Requirements

  • Online Graduate Application - There is a non-refundable $60 application fee. 
  • Transcripts - Official transcripts from EACH College and/or University you have attended. Must be in a sealed envelope from the institution or sent electronically from the institution directly to ksugrad@kennesaw.edu. Your transcripts should reflect at least a Bachelor's degree with at least a 2.75 GPA.
  • Resume/Vita required
  • Student with undergraduate degree in noncomputing discipline must show evidence of programming competency and have satisfactory coursework. Applicants lacking foundation knowledge may be required to complete the following 5000-level foundation courses:
    • CS 5000 Foundations of Programming
    • CS 5040 Data Structures and Algorithms

  • Flexible Program Options – This program offers part-time and full-time enrollment options, allowing you to complete your degree in as little as one to two years. Classes are held on campus or online. 
  • Choose a Thesis or Capstone – If you choose the capstone option, you will conceptualize, design, and execute an AI-driven project which addresses a real-world challenge. If you select the thesis, you will design, conduct, and present an original study in AI research, demonstrating in-depth knowledge and contribution to the field. 
  • All Undergraduate Majors Can Apply – If you are interested in starting a career in AI but don’t have a computer background, you can still enter KSU’s MSAI program. You will need to take up to two foundational courses which will prepare you for success in the graduate courses.

  • Designed for Full-time Working Professionals  – You can stay employed while earning an MSAI.
