Our Pitch Competition is open to both undergraduate and graduate students, with the top five students from each track advancing to a live final round before investors and industry leaders. Whether you’re from the Coles Fintech Club or Graduate student in the FinTech program, this is your chance to get expert feedback, mentorship, and a shot at prizes and/or project funding. Chris J. Brown, CFA
Mr. Brown graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in economics. While attending UGA, he earned a varsity letter playing football, and won an SEC Championship in 2005. Mr. Brown is highly involved in his local community. He currently serves on the Endowment Committees at his home church, Marietta First United Methodist Church. He also serves on the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Cobb County Advisory Council, the Cobb County Safety Village Foundation Board of Directors, and is a member of the Kiwanis Club of Marietta. He previously served as the Chairman of the Stewardship Committee at MFUMC and on the Kiwanis Club of Marietta Board of Directors. He was the Director of the 2019 Marietta Veterans Day Parade, and served as Co-Chair of The Center for Family Resources Thanks for Giving Task Force. He is a graduate of Leadership Cobb (2017) and Honorary Commanders (2016).
Chris and his wife, Ashley, have two daughters — Grace and Meredith. Their youngest daughter, Meredith, was born with a rare liver disease called biliary atresia. She received a life-saving liver transplant at seven months of age. Chris and Ashley are passionate about finding a cure for biliary atresia, raising money for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and promoting organ donation. Chris also enjoys playing golf, hunting, fishing and traveling.
