MLK OwlsServe Day
Join SVS for an MLK OwlsServe Day with Project U First! We will pack toiletry bags to donate to those in need. Then, we will conclude with a reflective post-service dialogue about the importance of service and transforming Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s life and teachings into community action to solve social issues. Registration Information: Each student must register for this event on GivePulse. Registration is required to participate in the OwlsServe Day. https://www.givepulse.com/event/manage/412091 Registration Deadline: The registration deadline is January 12th. There are no opportunities for walk-up registration. Communications: Full details about the OwlsServe Day will be sent to all registered participants on January, 8th and the 12th. IMPORTANT INFO: This event will occur on the KENNESAW CAMPUS at the SVS Suite which is located at at the West Entrance of the KSU Center. The address is 3333 Busbee Drive, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Alternative Break Interest Session
Join the Department of Student Volunteerism & Service to learn more about an upcoming opportunity through the Alternative Break Program! The Alternative Break Program is a national program where college students spend their Spring Breaks participating on service trips. In this interest session, students will learn more about the service trip for Spring Break 2024. We'll cover the project, destination, and schedule. Additionally, we'll talk about how students can apply to secure their spot on the trip. Please RSVP to this event if you plan to attend. A zoom link will be emailed out to all students who RSVP approximately 2 days before the session. Any questions? OwlsServe Day: Marietta the Gathering
Join the Department of Student Volunteerism & Service for our OwlsServe Day at Marietta the Gathering! Marietta the Gathering is a new festival held each March in Glover Park at the Historic Marietta Square celebrating Geek Community, pop culture, and the arts. Registration Information: Each student must register for this event on GivePulse. Registration is required to participate in the OwlsServe Day. Transportation: All students will be required to ride the Big Owl Bus to and from campus. Registration Deadline: The registration deadline is February 28th.
