In mid-June, The Board of Regents named Dr. Pamela Whitten president of Kennesaw State University. Whitten began her new position July 16.

Robert Stewart, a sport management graduate, is at home working for the Atlanta Braves. This 2016 alumnus is the account executive for premium partnerships, selling premium seating and suites at SunTrust Park.

Gary Smith, a 2006 computer engineering technology graduate, helps sports fans experience the world’s largest LED video display at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. Smith, who works for Daktronics, served as the installation supervisor during construction of the stadium’s 58-by-1,100-foot LED halo video display board.

Kennesaw State was ranked among schools that students most want to attend, according to data from U.S. News & World Report. The University has one of the nation’s highest admissions yield rates, meaning the percentage of admitted students who choose to enroll.

The Bagwell College of Education rolled out its mobile classroom, a 30-foot bus that offers K-12 students access to technology and other educational activities. The iTeach Maker Bus travels to local schools and provides a wide range of learning opportunities.
