Learning Support Advisor Information Overview

Learning Support is a 1-hour credit course preparing students to successfully complete required English, Math and/or Statistics courses. ​Co-requisites must be taken in conjunction with credit level courses. ​

Learning Support English (LE): ENGL 1101​
Learning Support Math (LM1): MATH 1111​
Learning Support MATH (LM2): MATH 1001 or STAT 1401​

LE = ENGL 0999 + ENGL 1101/-L (Learning Support Section Only) ​
LM1 = MATH 0999 + MATH 1111/-L (Learning Support Section Only)​
LM2 = MATH 0997 + MATH 1001/-L (Learning Support Section Only) ​
LM2 = STAT 0996 + STAT 1401/-L (Learning Support Section Only) ​

Students who have an LS requirement in their Advising Guide must register for both the co-requisite course and the credit-level course. The advisor submits the Pre-Registration Form to the LS Coordinator who will override the LS courses and register the student.

Students who transfer math credit with a grade of D:

  • Are exempt from the LS math requirement and can register for MATH 1001 or STAT 1401 without the LS corequisite requirement.
  • Are exempt from the LS math requirement and may repeat MATH 1111 without the LS corequisite requirement.
