Two concerts, twice the cheer with jazzed-up carols, symphonic sparkle, and holiday magic at KSU!
It’s beginning to sound a lot like Christmas at Kennesaw State University, and the Bailey School of Music (BSOM) is ready to celebrate with two festive performances. Experience the spirit of the season through timeless classics, joyful surprises and music that brings family and friends together when the School presents its annual Holiday Concert on Saturday, Dec. 6, and welcomes the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra on Friday, Dec. 19.

The Holiday Concert will feature the Chamber Singers, Jazz Ensemble I, Symphony Orchestra and Wind Ensemble performing a vibrant mix of seasonal favorites. Audiences can expect beloved works such as Leroy Anderson’s “Sleigh Ride,” Eric Whitacre’s luminous “Glow” and Rosephanye Powell’s inspiring “Hallelujah” from The Cry of Jeremiah. Adding a jazzy element to the festivities, Jazz Ensemble I will perform Duke Ellington’s playful arrangement of Tchaikovsky’s “Sugar Rum Cherry,” along with spirited renditions of “Joy to the World” and “Jingle Bells.”
Later in the month, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (ASO) brings exceptional artistry to KSU as part of the ArtsKSU Professional Series. This special holiday performance will feature joyful arrangements and timeless tunes that capture the magic of the season, offering an unforgettable evening of music for the whole family.
“While the Holiday Concert has long been a beloved tradition, this season also brings an exciting new experience with the ASO performance.” said Nathan Nabb, director of the Bailey School of Music. “They showcase the incredible talent of our students and bring renowned musicians to campus, creating opportunities for connection and celebration through music. It’s a reminder of how the arts enrich our lives, especially during the holiday season.”
