Mikayla Payne is currently the Senator for Racial and Ethnic Minorities. She is originally from Lawrenceville but is currently living in Kennesaw. She’s majoring in Business administration with a concentration in marketing. She is looking forward to bringing a lot of change and diversity to Kennesaw state university.

Cam Williams is pursuing a History Education degree. While serving as a Senator for
Housing and Residence Life. He is also Vice President for Black Teachers Matter, Education

Taleesha "Tee" DeVine- Guy is pursuing a Civil Engineering degree with a minor in architecture. They serve as the LGBTQ+ Senator along with having an active role as Community Assistant for the freshman community Hornet Village 200 on the Marietta campus.

RJ Norman is a sophomore from Augusta, Georgia, who is majoring in Cyber Security.
While serving as the Senator for Military & Veteran students, he is also serving in

He is majoring in African and African Diaspora Studies, with a minor in Sociology.

Senator for International Students
Micaela Bazalar is an international transfer student from Lima, Peru. She is pursuing a major in Sociology with a Criminology concentration. Along with being a full-time student and serving as Senator for International Students, Micaela is a Peer Health Educator at KSU’s Health Promotion and Wellness Department, as well as a member of KSU Equestrian Club. She served as Student Body President for two consecutive terms at her previous university in Peru and is excited to work towards helping our international community have better, fulfilling experiences at KSU.

Senator for Non-Traditional Students
Senator Ty Kimbrough is pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in Management and a Minor in Entrepreneurship. Senator Kimbrough serves as the Senator for Non-Traditional Students as well as the Chaplain and Sergeant of Arms for Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.’s Tau Zeta chapter seated at Kennesaw State University. In addition to his school obligations, Senator Kimbrough as serves our country in the United States Air Force. His interests include fitness, finances, and faith-related topics. Post graduation, Senator Kimbrough plans to continue his military career and commission in the United States Air Force.

Senator for Registered Student Organizations
Muhammad Behzad is pursuing a Biology degree with a minor in Aerospace engineering.
While serving as the Senator of Registered Student Organizations, he is also doing
undergraduate research and is a member of the Muslim Student Association as well as
the American Medical Student Association. He also works part-time for Wellstar Medical
Group as an Emergency Department scribe.

Senator for First Year Students
Maya Muammar is a freshman pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering. While being
a Senator representing all First-Year students in KSU, she is also a very active member
on campus and participates in various organizations- including Society of Women Engineers,
Muslim Student Association, Arabic Language and Culture Club, and much more. She aspires
to create a safe and fun environment for all students at KSU and provide the important
tools and resources to Freshman so they would have an easy and memorable first year
in their chosen career fields.

Jessica Okafor is pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management with
the intention of starting multiple national and international businesses and becoming
a management consultant or analyst. In addition to being a First Year Students Senator, Jessica is also involved in organizations
such as CEO (Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization), Engaged Owl Leaders, Korean Language
Club, and Black Women Empowered, as well as being a student under the KSU Journey
Honors College.
