Kennesaw State University showcases global impact through the FIFA World Cup 2026

With the world’s eyes fixed on Atlanta during the FIFA World Cup 2026™, Kennesaw State University emerged as a key partner in executing one of the globe’s most celebrated sporting traditions, emphasizing KSU’s growing status as a vital contributor to Georgia’s economic success.


One of the 16 host cities for the 2026 tournament, Atlanta held eight matches during June and July, generating massive direct and indirect economic impact throughout the metro area. Yet Atlanta was unique, because it was one of just three host cities to field at least eight matches owing to its robust infrastructure, including Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, Atlanta Stadium, MARTA, and training site partners such as Kennesaw State.
