Drones have a lot of advantages — faster delivery and traffic alleviation among them. But once the technology becomes more readily available, how will companies ensure that their drones are taking the most efficient routes through the sky?   • Summer Commencement ceremonies to be held at Kennesaw State Campus on July 28

    The Honorable LaDoris “Dot” Harris, the former director of the Office of Economic Impact and Diversity at the U.S. Department of Energy and a Southern Polytechnic State University alumna, will address more than 2,000 graduates at Kennesaw State University’s summer Commencement, beginning Friday, July 28, at 10 a.m. Other speakers include Teresa M. Joyce, professor emeritus of management, and Mark R. Anderson, the dean of the College of Science and Mathematics. Kennesaw State President Samuel S. Olens will preside over the three graduation ceremonies in the KSU Convocation Center on the Kennesaw Campus.  –  July 18, 2017

  • Matt Griffin Named Interim Director of Athletics

    Kennesaw State University President Sam Olens announced Friday that Matt Griffin will serve as the interim director of athletics. Griffin is no stranger to Kennesaw State, having spent two years as the Owls’ assistant athletics director for internal operations and the two years prior as director of athletics at Southern Polytechnic State University before the two institutions consolidated. Since 2015, Griffin has served as KSU’s director of trustee relations and development.  –  July 14, 2017

    Kennesaw State rising sophomore Carlotta Gianolla had one goal this summer – make the Under-20 Italian National Team. Following a three-week tryout that concluded on July 3, Gianolla's hopes became reality when she was one of 16 players selected to the team that will represent Italy in the European Women’s Basketball Championship that begins Saturday (July 8) in Matosinhos, Portugal.  –  July 07, 2017
