    Autonomous vehicle technology – which allows navigation without human input – is already mainstream, explained Kevin McFall, assistant professor of mechatronics engineering at Kennesaw State and an artificial intelligence researcher. Every leading car manufacturer – such as Tesla, Mercedes, Subaru, Ford and Chevrolet – has some form of this technology integrated into their vehicles. Students at Kennesaw State are learning how to build these various technology systems and integrate multiple assist systems to create an autonomous vehicle.  –  July 06, 2017

  • Twelve Woodrow Wilson fellows to enter STEM teaching pipeline at Kennesaw State

    Twelve recent grads or career changers among the 63 newest Woodrow Wilson Teaching Fellows will pursue graduate degrees at Kennesaw State University, where they will prepare to teach STEM subjects at Georgia schools. Gov. Nathan Deal announced the new class of fellows June 29 at the State Capitol.  –  June 30, 2017

  • Kennesaw State professor looks to optimize drone routes (Marietta Daily Journal)

    A Kennesaw State University professor is developing algorithms that could help drones in their efforts for both search and rescue missions and package delivery. Donghyun (David) Kim, an assistant professor of computer science, said his algorithm can quickly solve coordination problems between multiple drones to determine the best route for a drone to take.  –  June 30, 2017

    A trio of Kennesaw State University dance students competed in the Miss Georgia Pageant this month, and in September one of them, Alyssa Beasley, will represent the state at the Miss America Pageant in Atlantic City, N.J. Beasley, a sophomore, is the reigning Miss Georgia. KSU alumna Brooke Doss, the first runner-up, and KSU sophomore Michaela Heide tied for the preliminary talent award.  –  June 30, 2017
