Successful students rely on a toolbox of strategies, techniques and supports to help them achieve their goals. We can help you develop strategies what will boost your confidence, enhance your grades and get you where you want to go. So You Think You Can't PASS? workshops typically last about 50 minutes. Workshops are hosted via MS Teams. Students who RSVP will receive an MS Teams meeting invitation prior to the workshop. Students may also join live by clicking on the Online Link at the time of the event. PASS is a collaborative effort supported in part by Counseling and Psychological Services office, Office of Enrollment Retention, Academic Advising and the President's Focused Learner Program, WellStar College Advising Center, and the Coles College Flight Academy Program.BodyPositiveKSU (BI)
College can present additional challenges for people experiencing eating and body image issues. Join a KSU dietitian and therapist for a 4-week workshop based on the Be Body Positive Model. You will learn five powerful Competencies to help you develop resources and a renewed energy to take care of your body. Participants who complete all 4 sessions will receive a special gift. Participants in the first session will have priority registration for the following sessions. Registration will open to the public on the following Thursday each week. The workshops will be held from 3:00-4:30 PM on Monday, 3/13, 3/20, 3/27, and 4/3. Our Managing Anxiety and Depression virtual workshop will be an educational experience with the opportunity to interact with a counselor and students who are going through similar struggles. Not a therapy group but designed to begin providing you with knowledge in the healing process, awareness about your mood and to begin practicing these skills on your own. We aim to help you understand: Causes and experiences of anxiety and depression Connection between stress and anxiety/depression New approaches to managing anxiety and depression How the mind and body respond to mental distress Virtual workshop will be hosted using Microsoft Teams. Students are invited to RSVP on our OwlLife page and an invitation to the MS Teams meeting will be sent to you prior to the event.
