UPDATE (5/27/25) - Parents and participants, thank you for your patience! More information about the Summer Intensives will be coming within the next day or two.

In the meantime, please note that check-in will begin at 12:45 p.m. each day, and check-out will begin at 5:00 p.m. You or one of the people listed on your list of authorized pick-up persons will need to show a government-issued ID at both, and walk in to check your child in and out each day, including after the final concert on the last day.

BRASS PARTICIPANTS: Participants are strongly encouraged to prepare a short étude or excerpt from a solo, prior to the Intensive. Each day will include a performance class where participants will have opportunities to perform for the Brass Faculty and receive individualized feedback. 

  • June 2-4, 2025,  1:00 – 5:00 p.m.

    The Bailey School of Music Summer Music Intensive for Piano offers high school pianists the opportunity to learn and grow under the guidance of KSU Bailey School of Music faculty Dr. Robert Henry.

    Participants will engage in masterclasses and ensemble rehearsals, developing technique and polishing repertoire while also expanding their general musicianship through experiences with enrichment activities including mindfulness, improvisation, movement, and more.

  • June 4-6, 2025, 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.

    The Bailey School of Music Summer Music Intensive for Brass offers high school brass players (trumpet, horn, trombone, tuba, euphonium) the opportunity to learn and grow under the guidance of KSU Bailey School of Music applied brass faculty.

    Organized by Dr. Stephen Wadsack, Assistant Professor of Trumpet, participants will engage in masterclasses and brass ensemble rehearsals while also expanding their general musicianship through experiences with enrichment activities including mindfulness, improvisation, movement, and more.
