Chamber Singers

KSU Chamber Singers is the premiere auditioned choral ensemble at Kennesaw State University comprised of all undergraduate students, primarily music majors. The KSU Chamber Singers have performed at National, Regional, and State Conferences of NCCO, ACDA, and GMEA. The choir sang at the ACDA Southern Division Conference, presenting music of South America, in 2010. In 2013, the KSU Chamber Singers were selected to perform at the NCCO 5th National Conference performing David Maslanka’s masterwork A Litany for Courage and the Seasons. Recently, they performed their fifth invitation to the GMEA State Conference in January 2018. The KSU Chamber Singers were honored to be selected to perform at the ACDA Southern Division Conference, in March 2020.

Gospel Choir

Led by Professor Emeritus Dr. Oral Moses, the KSU Gospel Choir features members from across the university who come together to perform sacred music ranging from traditional spirituals to gospel favorites in various styles.

Treble (Women's) Choir

The KSU Treble (Women’s) Choir returned to campus in the Fall of 2008 under the direction of Dr. Alison Mann. The chorus is made of individuals from across the university featuring many music majors and non-majors and performs a wide variety of literature from all time periods and styles. The KSU Treble (Women’s Choir) participates in the KSU Women’s Choral Day, a one-day singing event that brings nearly 300 high school singers to campus and the Georgia Collegiate Women’s Choral Festival. The chorus’ goals are to create high-quality music in a collaborative and enjoyable environment.

Men's Ensemble

Formed in 1998, the KSU Men’s Ensemble sings a variety of a cappella works in a pop and jazz vocal style as well as standard repertoire for men’s voices. The Men’s Ensemble performs on all major concerts and regularly performs for schools and civic organizations. The Men’s Ensemble is fast becoming the most well-known and sought-after vocal group on campus.

Opera Theater

The Opera Theater program at Kennesaw State University is an integral part of the vocal training for voice students in the School of Music. Offered as a class each semester, Opera Theater is open to any KSU student, by audition, who is interested in opera performance. Each semester KSU Opera Theater presents either a production of a full-length opera or an end-of-the-semester opera gala concert featuring performances of scenes selected from various works. The class prepares students to perform repertoire in a wide variety of styles with additional focus on stage movement, acting, and interacting. Recent productions include Mozart’s The Magic Flute, Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel, Nicolai’s The Merry Wives of Windsor, Donizetti’s The Elixir of Love, Pasatieri’s comic opera The Hotel Casablanca, Puccini's Suor Angelica, Paulus' The Three Hermits, and others.

University Chorale

The KSU Chorale performs eclectic, diverse, and challenging repertoire that develops the total musician. The choral offerings at KSU are designed to make a quality choral ensemble available to each Kennesaw State student. 

The KSU Chorale is a non-auditioned choir open to both music and non-music majors, for credit and non-credit. Chorale participates in 4-5 major concerts per year in the Bailey Performance Center on campus. If you are looking for a great way to stay involved in music and meet singers from across the University, the KSU Chorale is for you!
