The Robert S. Geer Family College of the Arts at Kennesaw State University is proud to unveil its 2025–26 season of exhibitions, performances and events — a dynamic celebration of creativity, collaboration and community.

This year’s programming showcases artistry and innovation from across the Geer College of the Art’s four academic units: the School of Art and Design, the Department of Dance, the Bailey School of Music, and the Department of Theatre and Performance Studies.  

“Our 2025–26 season reflects the heart of what we do at the Geer College of the Arts,” says Dean Jawshing Arthur Liou. “It is a year of bold ideas and transformative experiences that honor our commitment to innovation, excellence and community.” 

The ArtsKSU Presents: Professional Series brings world-class artists and ensembles to the university’s Arts District, enriching the campus and community through unforgettable performances. This season’s lineup features cutting-edge work by Shadow Girls Cult, the elegant brilliance of the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields Chamber Ensemble, a return of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra to our campus for the holidays, the incomparable Delfeayo Marsalis, genre-defying movement by Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, and a season-closing performance by the legendary Kronos Quartet. 

The 2025–26 season also marks a major milestone for the Geer College of the Arts: 20 Years of Dance at KSU. From the first degree in dance being offered at KSU in 2005 under the visionary leadership of Dr. Ivan Pulinkala, to what has become the state’s largest undergraduate dance program and a nationally recognized center for dance today, Dance at KSU is a story of is a story of vision, dedication and transformation. Now under the leadership of Professor Marsha Barsky for the past five years, this anniversary will be celebrated with two world premieres from nationally acclaimed choreographers Gianna Burright and Leandro Damasco, setting the tone for a landmark year of movement and expression. The signature event, “Labyrinth,” is a special concert that features four works by faculty and guest choreographers: Ivan Pulinkala, KSU provost; Shannon Alvis, limited-term faculty; Autumn Eckman, artistic director for the Department of Dance and assistant professor; and Yankalle Filtser, world-renowned Israeli choreographer and guest artist.

The Bailey School of Music offers a compelling season of student and faculty performances, collaborations and masterworks that highlight the range and rigor of KSU’s musical talent. Highlights include a dynamic student jazz collaboration with Delfeayo Marsalis and a wide array of choral, orchestral and band programs throughout the academic year. The season reflects the School’s ongoing commitment to technical excellence, artistic growth and the power of music to bring people together. 

At the Bernard A. Zuckerman Museum of Art, audiences can explore a bold season of exhibitions that showcase both emerging and established voices in the visual arts. Highlights include newly commissioned work by Vadis Turner and a spring show drawn from the collections of the Jordan D. Schnitzer Family Foundation. The museum also hosts exhibitions from School of Art and Design students and alumni. 

The Department of Theatre and Performance Studies presents a season filled with compelling stories and immersive experiences. This year’s productions include “Dance Nation,” Federico García Lorca’s classic “Blood Wedding,” the sharp-witted “School Girls; or, The African Mean Girls Play,” and the charming Golden Age musical, “She Loves Me.” The department will also host “An Evening With King Lear,” a hybrid performance of Shakespearean scenes and academic discussion, inviting audiences into a deeper exploration of timeless themes.
