The School of Art and Design and the Zuckerman Museum of Art are pleased to announce that Kennesaw State University has been selected to host the National Arts Program art exhibition “Showcasing the Artist Within” December 2-15, 2019.

To participate, submitting artists must be an employee (or an immediate family member of an employee) of Kennesaw State University. Medium categories include painting, works on paper, photography, sculpture, craft, or mixed media.

Designed to give all artists at all skill levels an uninhibited opportunity to exhibit their work in a professional manner and to compete for cash prizes, the National Arts Program partners with more than 90 venues in 30+ states to create workplace exhibitions where the artistic expression of employees and their families are recognized. By supporting these venues with an online gallery, funding, guidance, cash prizes, and more, they are the only national nonprofit that is dedicated to transforming  people and places by showcasing individual creativity.

Don’t miss this chance to be recognized for your creativity! The deadline to register online is Saturday, November 2, and all entries must be delivered to the Zuckerman Museum of Art on November 15, 18 or 19 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. The exhibition will be judged in the classification of the artist’s selection by visual arts professionals. Prizes and awards range from $400 for Best of Show to honorable mention ribbons. Each artist will receive a Certificate of Participation in the National Arts Program.

A reception and presentation of awards will be held at the Zuckerman Museum of Art on December 5, 2019, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. “Showcasing the Artist Within” will be on exhibition at the Zuckerman Museum of Art from December 2 – 15, 2019, and is free and open to the public.
