KSU student Kyaa Goggins is returning to Intel for a second internship, leading frontend development and building machine learning skills in a fully remote role.

For Kyaa Goggins, a passion for programming turned into a career path—thanks to inspiring mentorship, hands-on learning, and a second internship with one of the world’s leading tech companies.

This summer, Kyaa is returning to Intel for a fully remote internship focused on full stack development, data analysis, networking, and machine learning. She’ll be leading the frontend development of a key internal application while continuing to build her skills in machine learning.

“This opportunity is a continuation of the work I love,” Kyaa said. “It’s exciting to take on more responsibility and grow in areas like frontend leadership and AI.”

Kyaa credits her journey to the support of Kennesaw State University—especially the professors who went the extra mile. “The amazing professors at KSU are a big part of how I got here,” she said. “They influenced my major, my extracurriculars, and helped me grow professionally.”

One of those professors is Nick Murphy, whose introductory programming class changed everything. “His teaching style made the subject enjoyable and accessible,” Kyaa said. “He made sure everyone understood the material before moving on, and that inspired me to switch my major to software engineering.”

At KSU, Kyaa also developed key life skills like professionalism and interview readiness—skills that helped her stand out in competitive hiring processes. She appreciates the way KSU professors treat students like professionals, pushing them to rise to the challenge.

Her advice to fellow Owls? “Go into interviews with confidence. If you approach it like you don’t need the job—but it would be a great opportunity—you’ll find more success through that mindset.”
