As Family Enterprise Program Goes Online, Connections Grow Stronger

Students in the second cohort of the mini-MBA for Family Enterprise Next-Gen Leaders – all members of Georgia family enterprises – demonstrated this ability to adapt to change when their in-person program went fully online last spring due to the pandemic. Following a virtual graduation ceremony in November, the students reflected on the challenge of completing the focused, team-based certificate program remotely, and on how the experience made them more effective in their organizations.

Coles Faculty Establishes Scholarship to Help International Students

Harry Vardis knows firsthand the value of receiving a college scholarship as an international student, so he is providing that same opportunity to students at Kennesaw State University. Vardis has committed a seven-figure donation to establish a legacy scholarship fund – the Harry and Athena Vardis Scholarships – which will be given to deserving KSU students, with a focus on students from foreign countries.

LeanSwift, Coles College Partner to Bring Enterprise-Level Software into the Classroom

Kennesaw State’s Michael J. Coles College of Business Department of Information Systems and Security is working with LeanSwift to develop a curriculum around implementing INFOR, one of most widely used ERP systems, with more than 90,000 corporate customers worldwide. The learning materials, as well as access to full version of the INFOR software, will be available to students in the information systems program’s Business Process Management course beginning Spring 2021.

Rick and Julie Bennett Launch Accounting Scholarship

Inspired by the lessons from their own fathers to work hard and help others, Rick and Julie Bennett have established an endowment to provide scholarships for many accounting students in the KSU Honors program.
