Dr. Sweta Sneha, director of the Master of Science in Healthcare Management and Informatics, is a finalist in the 2018 Women of the Year Awards, which recognizes women who demonstrate leadership and vision in business, and who make a difference in the community.
Organized by Women in Technology - which empowers and educates women and girls about opportunities in science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math - the Women of the Year Awards gathers top Georgia companies at the forefront of STEAM industries.
This year, 37 women were nominated in four categories. Sneha is one of three finalists in the Medium/Mid-Size Business category, which also includes educational institutions. The other finalists in that category are Sherry Farrugia, Chief Operating and Strategy Officer at GT/CHOA Pediatric Technology Center; and Erica Stanley, Founder of Women Who Code Atlanta, and the Engineering Manager for SalesLoft.
One winner from each category will be announced at a gala event on Thursday, Nov. 8 at the Georgia Aquarium. The event's presenting sponsor is The Coca-Cola Company, and the VIP sponsor is Cox Automotive Group.
