Kennesaw State University’s online Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Management has been ranked third in the nation and the best in Georgia on Forbes' 2025 list of Best Online Business Management Degrees. The program also received special recognition for providing the "Best for Experiential Learning Opportunities" of all the programs evaluated.

This significant ranking highlights KSU’s commitment to providing a hands-on, immersive educational experience for its students, including those taking classes online. According to Forbes, Kennesaw State’s program stands out for offering the most valuable experiential learning opportunities in the country. KSU’s online BBA students can participate in internships, co-op programs, and experiential workshops, all designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world application.

“The recognition from Forbes is a testament to the innovative approach we take in educating the next generation of business leaders,” said Robin Cheramie, dean of the Michael J. Coles College of Business. “At KSU, we prioritize practical experiences that empower our students to become problem-solvers and critical thinkers in the business world. Whether through internships or hands-on work through university partners, we are equipping students with the skills they need to succeed.”

The online BBA in Management program at Kennesaw State takes a holistic approach to management, preparing students to understand human resources structures, project management essentials, and business analytic tools used in many companies today. While achieving real-world work experience can be a hurdle for many online students, those in the BBA in Management program benefit from the diverse business partnerships and practical initiatives through the Michael A. Leven School of Management, Entrepreneurship, and Hospitality.

“We take pride in blending business experience with scholarship and care,” said Louis Marino, Director of the Leven School and Professor of Entrepreneurship. “This ranking reflects the dedication of our faculty, staff, and students, and the strength of our hands-on, cross-functional approach to business education. Our online BBA in Management leverages a rigorous curriculum grounded in experiential learning to equip students not just with knowledge but with the practical skills and mindset critical to thrive in today’s dynamic business environment.”

Kennesaw State’s emphasis on experiential learning opportunities includes the Robin and Doug Shore Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center, where management students can gain direct exposure to the entrepreneurial ecosystem. The center offers a collaborative space for students to work on real projects, engage with industry leaders, and develop the skills needed to launch or grow businesses.

“We are incredibly proud to be recognized by Forbes as a leader in online business education,” said Deborah Mixson-Brookshire, Director of Coles Online Programs and Professor of Management at KSU. “Our students benefit from a curriculum that balances academic rigor with hands-on opportunities to apply their learning. This ranking wouldn’t be possible without the hard work and dedication of our faculty, staff, and students.”

The Coles College of Business, home to more than 10,000 students, offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs, including online degrees, executive education, and specialized certifications. The college’s commitment to academic excellence and student success is reflected in its consistent recognition by major publications and organizations, including Forbes.
