The Scholarly Publishing and Research team assists with all stages of the scholarly
publishing and research cycles. We provide guidance and education on:
- the open movements (including open access, open education, and open data)
- copyright and fair use
- research data management
- affordable course material creation and adoption
Our institutional repository, the Digital Commons @ Kennesaw State University, is managed by our team and preserves and disseminates the KSU community's scholarly
and creative output.

The Undergraduate Research Award
Each year, the Undergraduate Research Award honors an outstanding student researcher.
Award winners receive $500, recognition at the Symposium of Student Scholars, and
publication in the Kennesaw Journal of Undergraduate Research (KJUR). Questions about the award can be sent to its manager, Chelsee Dickson, Assistant Director for Scholarly Publishing and Research.

Open Access Publishing Fund
The University Libraries, in conjunction with the Office of Research, supports Kennesaw
State University faculty authors with the cost of open access manuscript publication
through the Faculty Open Access Publishing Fund. Questions about this fund can be
