Patrick Basham of the Democracy Institute in London, whose polling shows the U.S. presidential race as being much closer than the media depicts, is the guest in the latest episode of the “Political Futures” podcast hosted by Kennesaw State University professor Kerwin Swint.

Basham discusses the popular and electoral voting projections and the models that the Democracy Institute uses for polling, which accurately predicted the results of the U.K. Brexit vote and the 2016 United States presidential election. Basham and Swint also discuss predicted voter turnout and the effects of Covid-19 on the election’s “voter enthusiasm gap.”

Swint provides a non-partisan perspective on current events on “Political Futures.” An expert on presidential elections, Swint is the director of the School of Government and International Affairs at Kennesaw State.
