How to Declare a Sociology Major

First, prospective students should review the catalog listing for the Sociology major or use the “What If” function in Degree Works so they understand the Sociology major requirements.

Any student can declare the major themselves through Owl Express by using the “Declare or Change Major/Minor” link under the Student Records tab. However, it is beneficial for prospective students to meet with the Sociology Advisor Jessica Stehlin (jstehlin@kennesaw.edu, 470 578-7728, WH202), so they can discuss degree requirements, concentration options, prerequisites, etc., and allow the student to ask any questions they may have. In this meeting, Jessica can also provide them with a degree check sheet to help plan their future semesters.

Jessica welcomes emails from our students!
