THE KENNESAW MOUNTAIN WRITING PROJECT (KMWP) is a group of professional educators representing all grade levels and disciplines who facilitate teacher-led professional development in an effort to improve student writing and learning.

Established in 1994 , the KMWP enjoys a partnership with Kennesaw State University and joins a network of nearly 200 university-based National Writing Project sites. We work with local school districts to provide high quality professional learning, research, and leadership opportunities for Georgia educators.

Each year, KMWP offers an Invitational Summer Institute and Youth Writing Academies to engage teachers and students in writing and writing instruction. From kindergarten to college, we envision a future where scholars and innovators question, create, collaborate, and convey their ideas through the craft of writing.
