First-Year Scholars Projects

In the meantime, click through last year's projects to see the variety of research being done through KSU's First-Year Scholars Program.

The goal of this program is to introduce first-year students to the undergraduate research experience. There are projects in every college on all kinds of topics, many of which are interdisciplinary. We encourage students to apply for projects they find interesting, regardless of whether the projects are in their majors.

Students can apply to as many projects as they would be happy working on for the full academic year, but in the end they will be matched to only one (1) project. You are required to complete a separate Student Application Form for each project you would like to apply to.
