Upload Instructions

Please note, it's important to follow all of the steps below to take and upload a photo for your Talon Card. Make sure you have set up  Duo authentication before attempting to submit a photo. If you have questions, please email the Talon One Service Center at  talonone@kennesaw.edu.

Before you start the online photo submission process, compare your photo with the examples on this page. Does your photo look like one of the acceptable pictures? If not, retake it to avoid having to repeat the process later. 

For the best user experience, please follow these instructions on your mobile device using the Transact eAccounts app to upload a new photo: 

  1. Download the Transact eAccounts app
  2. Select “Kennesaw State University” from the list of schools. 
  3. Select “Talon Card Manager” and complete single sign-on with Duo Authentication.  
  4. Click on the settings icon in the top right corner. 
  5. Select “Submit ID Photo” and click “Get Started”.
  6. Read and accept the CloudCard Terms and Conditions.
  7. Follow the instructions for uploading a photo and providing an ID document (current US driver’s license, current passport, current government ID).
  8. Tap "Submit & Sign Out." You will receive confirmation on your screen as well as through your KSU email. 
  9. Once your photo has been approved by KSU Talon One Service Center staff, you will receive additional instructions for accessing your Mobile Talon Card via KSU email.

Please note that Duo Authentication and the Transact eAccounts app can only be added to your mobile device. It cannot be set up on a computer.

Dual Enrollment students should follow this same process. When you pick up your Talon Card, please indicate you are a Dual Enrolled student. Contact the Talon One Service Center at 470-578-8663 or email talonone@kennesaw.edu if you have any questions. 

Keep an eye on your KSU email for initial feedback from the Helper Bot. The Helper Bot will provide instant email feedback based on the built-in photo grading scale. If the photo scores too low, the email will provide directions on how to submit an updated photo. 

Once the Talon One team reviews and approves the photo, you will receive an official final approval email. Please allow up to 2 to 3 business days for Talon One to review the photo. 

Receiving Your Talon Card

Incoming Students

If Attending Orientation: After your photo is submitted and officially approved, you will receive your Talon Card during your Orientation. The $14 first student ID fee is included in the cost of Orientation. 

If Not Attending Orientation: After your photo is submitted and officially approved, visit the Talon One Service Center to receive your Talon Card. A $14 first student ID fee will be charged to your Owl Express after you receive your card. 

New Employees

All employees will take their photo and receive their Talon Card during their New Employee Orientation (NEO). If you are unable to attend NEO, you may go to any Talon One location at a later time to take your photo and receive your Talon Card.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • The camera on your cell phone or computer is fine to use, or any digital camera, as long as it takes clear photos.
  • Before your photo is accepted, you can follow the upload instructions to upload a different photo. Once your photo is accepted, you cannot submit a new image. 
  • If your photo is denied, you will receive instructions via KSU email to resubmit a photo. 
  • No, you can continue to use your Talon Card.

Terms of Service: Once a photo is submitted, and is accepted, it becomes the property of Kennesaw State University. These photos are considered University property and may be viewed and accessed by University employees with a legitimate educational interest. Declined photos are deleted, and a new photo must be submitted for your Talon Card. By agreeing to these terms, you are confirming that you are the person in the photo, and you are accepting the charge of $14 for the first student ID fee, which is incorporated into the cost to attend Orientation. If your identity does not match the photo at the time of pick up, then you will be asked to take a new photo in person. You will also be charged a replacement ID fee of $25 in addition to the first ID charge. All fees will be applied to your student account through Owl Express.
