(April 2, 2025) — As the vibrant colors of spring bloom at Kennesaw State University (KSU), the Geer College of the Arts (GCA) proudly presents the return of the Spring Undergraduate and Faculty Research Forums. Join our outstanding student researchers and faculty from April 16 through April 18 as they showcase their intellectual and creative endeavors before a live audience of their peers. These undergraduate and faculty events are a major part of the GCA’s contribution to Kennesaw State University's broader Symposium of Student Scholars and provide an outlet for the presentation and discussion of research from students and faculty alike.

Dog Act: The Comedic Apocalypse Takes Stage

Beginning on March 25, join the Department of Theatre and Performance Studies as they present the colorful story of Dog Act. First premiering in 2004 and written by Liz Duffy Adams, Dog Act is a play about survival, featuring zany characters and the relationships they build during an adventure in a future hellscape. The comedy and music built into the DNA of this exciting avant-garde play will be a captivating experience as it is presented through the theatrical talent of Kennesaw State University’s students.

Roomful of Teeth, the Grammy Award-winning vocal band renowned for reimagining the expressive potential of the human voice, will perform on Friday, March 21 at 8:00 p.m. in Morgan Hall at the Dr. Bobbie Bailey and Family Performance Center on the Kennesaw campus. Described by the New York Times as “like a glee club, but cool in a really nerdy way,” Roomful of Teeth has captivated audiences worldwide with their innovative and adventurous music.

"Macbeth" takes over Department of Theatre & Performance Studies at Kennesaw State

What happens when people with power go unchecked, especially when that power is driven by desires and emotions? Is morality lost? What are the repercussions of tyranny? Kennesaw State University’s Department of Theatre and Performance Studies (TPS) will examine those questions as they present “Macbeth” running Feb. 13-23 at the Stillwell Theater. TPS Faculty and Director Marlon Andrew Burnley says that the play “explores the destructive power of ambition, the fragility of the human soul, and the consequences of choices made in pursuit of power.”

Over 250 faculty, students to perform in 2025 Collage Concert at KSU's Bailey School of Music

ennesaw State University’s Bailey School of Music will present the 2025 Collage Concert on Saturday, Feb. 8 at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. The Concert will be held in Morgan Hall at the Dr. Bobbie Bailey & Family Performance Center on the Kennesaw campus. A season highlight, the Collage Concert is the signature showcase of the Bailey School of Music, featuring over 200 student and faculty performers in jazz, orchestra, choir, band, percussion, chamber groups, and more. The performance takes a rapid-fire approach, with musical selections moving quickly in succession, from one group to another without pauses for clapping, making for a rousing, nonstop evening of music.

Anne Plamondon Productions: MYOKINE Dance Performance at Kennesaw State University

Kennesaw State University (KSU) Department of Dance is pleased to present Anne Plamondon Productions: MYOKINE Feb. 14-15, 2025, at the KSU Dance Theater on the Marietta campus. Known internationally as an exceptional dancer, Plamondon is also an outstanding choreographer. Her new creation, MYOKINE, focuses on the body in its entirety and lets the voice emerge to express very current concerns.
