Georgia's First Graduate Financial Technology Degree Program

New technologies like mobile wallet platforms, cryptocurrencies, online payment gateways and more have fundamentally changed the business landscape. Kennesaw State University’s Master of Science in Digital Financial Technologies – the first graduate Fintech degree in Georgia – teaches students the technical, social, and regulatory concepts behind digital payment technologies, helping them become leaders in the booming, multi-billion-dollar Fintech industry. This 18-month, fully online Fintech Degree Program prepares students for careers in blockchain, crypto-currencies, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.

Payment processing has become increasingly complex thanks to new technologies that give businesses and consumers more ways than ever to initiate transactions. The result is that digital payment processing is now a multi-billion-dollar industry. By offering a Master of Science in Digital Payment Technologies and partnering with The Georgia Fintech Academy on an undergraduate minor and undergraduate certificate, Kennesaw State University is preparing a new generation of leaders to manage a new generation of payments.

Fintech Course Offerings at KSU

For a total of 30 credit hours, the Master of Science in Digital Financial Technologies has courses that assess fintech payment technologies, financial security, blockchain payment technologies and more. The current course catalog shows the most updated course offerings each semester.

Kennesaw State University's Certificate in Financial Technology was recognized as one of the top ten in the country by FintechDegrees.org in their Guide to the Nation's Best Online Fintech Certificate Programs for 2024. Digital payments refers to a wide range of technologies that make electronic banking possible, including everything from gift cards, debit cards, credit cards, ATMs, and the phone apps you use to electronically transfer money to your friends or pay bills. Digital payment allows you to invest, insure, and bank from your mobile device without ever setting foot in a building. Courses in digital payments prepare you for a high-demand career in areas such as information technology, cybersecurity, data science, and business.
