New technologies like mobile wallet platforms, cryptocurrencies, online payment gateways and more have fundamentally changed the business landscape. Kennesaw State University’s Master of Science in Digital Financial Technologies – the first graduate Fintech degree in Georgia – teaches students the technical, social, and regulatory concepts behind digital payment technologies, helping them become leaders in the booming, multi-billion-dollar Fintech industry. This 18-month, fully online Fintech Degree Program prepares students for careers in blockchain, crypto-currencies, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.

Named one of the nation's top 10 online fintech programs

Kennesaw State University's Certificate in Financial Technology was recognized as one of the top ten in the country by FintechDegrees.org in their Guide to the Nation's Best Online Fintech Certificate Programs for 2024. KSU's program was named No. 10 on the list, with the feature highlighting the University's proximity to Atlanta, one of the nation's financial transaction hubs.

KSU Fintech Career Impacts

The Georgia Department of Economic Development reports that 118 billion digital transactions – or 70 percent of the total global volume – are processed by Georgia companies, giving the state the nickname “transaction alley.” With more than 30,000 Georgians already employed in Fintech, and the industry expecting to add 2,000 new employees annually after 2023, Kennesaw State’s MS-Fintech is uniquely positioned to fill the digital payment talent gap.

Experiential Learning

Kennesaw State has developed relationships with major players in the digital payment space like U.S. Bank/Elavon, Truist, FIS Global. This ensures that Fintech courses not only teach students about the industry, but also prepare them to solve real challenges that Fintech professionals face every day. In addition, the faculty are all experts in their field, with many having led successful careers in the digital payments space. Faculty integrate their experience and research into every step of the program.
