The Emeritus Professor of Management and former director of Kennesaw State’s Cox Family Enterprise Center recently received two Schulze Publication Awards from Entrepreneur & Innovation Exchange, a top resource for peer-reviewed research on entrepreneurship.

Coles College Alumnus Chosen for International Exchange Program for Young Professionals

Kennesaw State's New Business Incubator Funds Six High-Tech Projects

Six innovative technology startups formed by Kennesaw State students and alumni are now one step closer to thousands of dollars in funding, having cleared the first milestone in the University’s Igniting New Companies (INC) business incubator. Supported by the Mookerji Innovation Fund – a $120,000 gift to Kennesaw State from technology entrepreneurs Sid and Sophie Mookerji – the INC invites students and alumni from across the University to apply for funding and development assistance for their tech-based businesses.

Rambo, who earned his MBA from the Michael J. Coles College of Business in Spring 2021, recently was named executive director of the Georgia Symphony Orchestra.

Kennesaw State University’s innovative Master of Science in Healthcare Management program celebrates its fifth anniversary this year. With the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics predicting job growth in the healthcare information technology sector to outpace overall growth during the next 10 years, the program is committed to developing a diverse, knowledgeable talent pool to succeed in those jobs. Launched in Fall 2016 to enhance Georgia’s competitiveness in the healthcare IT sector, the MSHMI program welcomed its fifth cohort in Fall 2020. Made up of IT experts and novices as well as nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals, the 52 students represent the largest cohort yet.

Kennesaw State Graduate Sees Teaching as Tool to End Poverty

As a teenager, Almuth Merkel volunteered at a daycare center in Chile as part of an international exchange program, an experience that sparked a lifelong passion for fighting poverty and food insecurity. Having earned her Ph.D. in International Conflict Management from Kennesaw State University and teaching in the Michael J. Coles College of Business, Merkel is ready to take her fight global once again.
