Parent and Family Programs is focused on keeping families connected to KSU! Research
shows that family involvement is critical to student success. Our office works to
bring families fun and memorable engagement opportunities as well as tailored and
timely information through the Owl Family Hub to ensure you feel informed and equipped to support your student as they navigate their KSU journey. We are always here to support you and your student. Feel free to email us with any and all of your questions!
Joining the Owl Family Hub automatically enrolls you in the KSU Parent and Family
Association. This membership is free and is your way to stay connected to the KSU
Family. Create an account or log-in at kennesaw.campusesp.com.
Students will have the opportunity to register one supporter to join them for orientation
as a guest. This can be a parent, family member, or support person for the student.

Family Weekend
Family Weekend is a celebration of academics, athletics, entertainment, and involvement at KSU. Family Weekend will be held Sept. 19-21, 2025.
Registration will open on the Owl Family August 1, 2025. Find the most recent registration

Family of the Year
Kennesaw State Family of the Year is to recognize those who contribute the most to our student's success at KSU. We want supporters at KSU to feel valued and recognized for all they do to contribute to their student’s successes, and we want the students to also acknowledge and be appreciative to their families for the contributions they have made to their successes as students here at KSU.
Graduation is a significant milestone for your student, marking the transition from
their academic journey to becoming a Forever Owl. Celebrate this special moment by
gifting them a lasting legacy on campus.
When you purchase a brick, the proceeds not only cover the cost of the brick but also
contribute to the Parent and Family Grant Program, which supports various student
organizations across campus.
The Kennesaw State University Parent and Family Advisory Council is composed of highly
engaged parents and family donors who are dedicated to supporting the mission of KSU
and assisting other KSU parents and families. These members provide valuable guidance,
knowledge, and feedback to the Department of Parent & Family Programs. They actively
recruit parents and families to join the Parent & Family Giving Society and oversee
the Parent & Family Grant Program.
Each member contributes an annual gift of $1,000 to the Parent & Family Fund, which
qualifies them for membership in the Parent & Family Giving Society. Benefits of this
membership include early access to Family Weekend dates, invitation-only special events,
direct access to Division of Student Affairs leaders, and the opportunity to review
and vote on Parent & Family Grant Program proposals. Members agree to serve a one-year
term from July 1 to June 30, with a maximum service duration of four years or until
their student graduates.
In addition to their advisory roles, members assist in the identification and recruitment of future council members, ensuring effective succession planning. They also serve as ambassadors for KSU and act as resources for KSU families, further enhancing the university's parent and family engagement initiatives.
