Competition Teams

This marks the third year of varsity esports at Kennesaw State University! The Esports Program at KSU is looking for the best of the best to represent the university in the intercollegiate esports space. There will be two varsity titles for the 2022-2023 school year. They are League of Legends and Rocket League. For each of these titles, there will be spots to fill via tryouts.

Competition Clubs

The Esports Competition Clubs at Kennesaw State are student-run, student led clubs that focus on fielding teams to compete in intercollegiate competition against other colleges and universities in their respective game title. Don't be fooled, even though these groups are not considered "varsity" by the institution, they represent some of the most competitive players at KSU and have a strong track record of signature wins over other teams across the nation. Membership in a competition club is open to any KSU student, and even though each club will field multiple teams, competing on the top level team for each club is not guaranteed. Check out the list of all of our current clubs below to learn more.

  • Call of Duty is a competitive cross-platform FPS game that requires excellent teamwork and communication to succeed. Each match plays 3 game modes on different maps that test the various skills of each team. Call of Duty releases a new title every year with different guns, maps, and mechanics which creates a new learning curve and skill gap every season. KSU will compete in a variety of tournaments on teams of 5 (4 players and 1 coach). All players who tryout will be given an opportunity to join a team that fits their play style.
