KENNESAW, Ga. | Mar 20, 2025

Nahomy Limon, Anna Stephen, Graham Stewart, Claudia Irina Garavis Montagut
Each spring, students from Kennesaw State University and other Georgia institutions are selected to participate in the Georgia Legislative Internship Program (GLIP), gaining hands-on experience at the Georgia State Capitol during the 40-day legislative session.

Open to juniors and seniors of all majors, GLIP offers students course credit and the opportunity to work directly with legislators and committees on a range of responsibilities including tracking bills, writing summaries, and assisting with constituent services.

Political science and international affairs major Nahomy Limon worked with the Governor’s Floor Leader’s office, managing bill analysis and constituent services. Her experience has inspired a possible run for state Senate.

Anna Stephen, an international affairs major, assisted the House Ways and Means Committee with fiscal research, hoping to apply her experience toward a career in intelligence with the CIA.

KSU Student with Scrappy
Political science junior Graham Stewart served in an office supporting negotiation and advocacy work, envisioning a future in the U.S. Foreign Service and possibly, elected office.

Claudia Irina Garavis Montagut, a KSU President’s Parliament Scholar Ambassador, also interned during Spring 2025.

These students exemplify KSU’s commitment to leadership, service, and public impact. We are proud of their work.
