Held from April 13–17, the conference brought together students to engage in a real-world simulation of the United Nations. KSU’s delegation included 14 students, eight of whom are majors in the Norman J. Radow College of Humanities and Social Sciences. Representing the Republic of Sudan across seven committees, the team demonstrated exceptional diplomacy, collaboration, and preparation. The award was announced during the conference’s closing ceremony in the iconic General Assembly Hall at the United Nations headquarters.
Participation in NMUN offers students a transformative learning experience, allowing them to apply theoretical knowledge of international relations and the UN system in a dynamic, hands-on setting. Students develop vital skills such as negotiation, leadership, public speaking, research, and writing while gaining a deeper understanding of diplomacy, global cooperation, and the challenges facing the international community.
We are proud of our Model UN team for representing KSU with excellence on the global stage.
