Three Master of Public Administration (MPA) students at Kennesaw State University recently completed a capstone project that offered valuable insights for the program’s leadership.

Stephanie Galicia, Natalie Jimenez, and Vanessa Maldonado conducted a comparative analysis of MPA advisory boards as part of their final graduate project.

Their research explored best practices and structures of advisory boards at peer institutions, with the goal of strengthening engagement and impact within KSU’s own MPA Advisory Board.

The students presented their findings and recommendations at a recent board meeting on July 31, offering strategies for enhancing board effectiveness, improving member involvement, and aligning the board’s work with the evolving needs of the program.

Their project not only highlighted the students’ research and analytical skills but also contributed meaningfully to the future direction of the MPA program.
