The Department of Student Activities, in collaboration with various campus partners, offers workshops, conferences, and training to help student organization leaders develop the skills needed to foster a successful student organization.

Learn how to work from your best talents and strengths; learn effective communication strategies for optimal performance; and clarify your core values for maximum success. UP Leadership & Professional Development Conference
This conference will feature 2 keynote speakers, student-led sessions, professional development and leadership skills breakout sessions, an alumni networking luncheon, networking with employers, raffle prizes, and more!

Career Planning and Development
Career Planning and Development offers a variety of workshops and events and would love to partner with registered student organizations! View upcoming events on the Career Calendar and email Amanda Long (along54@kennesaw.edu) if you are interested in partnering on a workshop or event. Some presentations may be available by request. To give your request the best chance of being fulfilled, students are encouraged to complete the Student Group Presentation Request Form several weeks in advance of your preferred date. We also recommend partnering with other student groups for these requests! -

Cultural and Community Centers
Cultural and Community Centers (CCC) offers workshops which create supportive spaces for students to engage in meaningful conversations around issues of diversity and inclusion. These workshops are designed for various audiences and can be tailored to fit any group whether it be as an in-classroom presentation or co-curricular experience (i.e., student organization meeting, student leader training, leadership/diversity conference, etc.). Please see descriptions of current workshops on the CCC website. To request a workshop for your student organization, please submit a CCC Workshop Request Form. -

Fitness on the Fly
Fitness on the Fly is a personalized fitness experience for members of the KSU Community brought to you by the Department of Sports & Recreation that is perfect for teams, clubs, departments, and classes! We can accommodate groups with a variety of requests including Zumba®, yoga, strength and conditioning, and more! Requests for a minimum of 5 participants can be a one-time program or in a series. Community Service
Service to the community provides some of the best opportunities for team building and development! Through the Department of Student Volunteerism and Service (SVS), Kennesaw State offers the GivePulse Volunteer Portal, which is free for all students. Your organization can use GivePulse to find volunteer needs on campus and in the local community. Connect with agencies that support your mission or find something fun for your group to support.
