The Department of Student Activities provides several resource for Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) to utilize.  Our office is staffed with well-trained staff members who can answer a variety of questions, from how to join an organization, to starting a new organization, to how to best use Owl Life and beyond.  Visit the Department of Student Activities on either campus for any of your RSO-related concerns!

  • Every RSO has an on campus mailbox that is located in the Department of Student Activities office on either the Kennesaw or Marietta Campus.  RSOs may update which campus they wish their mailbox to be located using the RSO Update Form

    RSOs may also have packages shipped to either campus.  Examples of packages include: event supplies, t-shirts for members, etc.

    When using the on-campus mailbox address for RSO correspondence, RSOs should use the address for that specific campus.  

    ***Note: do not list "Kennesaw State University" before the RSO name as there is typically a character limit for address lines.

  • RSOs may print 2 paper, color posters per semester (Fall is July-December, Spring is January-June) as long as they are in good standing with the Department of Student Activities. Additional banners may be printed at the expense of the organization.

    Poster Requirements:

    • Must include student organization name and contact information
    • If publicizing an event, must include: date, time, and location (building and room) of event
    • Posters must be 36" x 48" (portrait or landscape)
    • Files must be submitted as a PDF, file size cannot exceed 4MB

    Please submit your poster request using the Talon Express Project Request Form.  Be mindful of any applicable posting policies.  Please follow these instructions when submit the request form:

    1. For "Delivery Location (Office Building and Suite)": please list Wilson Student Center (Marietta ) OR Carmichael Student Center (Kennesaw)
    2. For "Special Instructions or Additional Information": please list "RSO - [name of your RSO]"
  • RSOs may make 200 black & white one-sided copies per semester.  The copies must be organization related and not for personal gain.  Examples include: flyers, agendas, meeting minutes, RSO constitution, etc.  Please submit this request form at least one business day in advance.  Paper cutters and other cutting tools are available.
  • First, reserve the space on campus for the event at which you wish to track attendance at least 1 week in advance and receive the reservation confirmation.  Then make an event announcement from your organization's page in Owl Life at least 3 business days prior to the event.

    Card Readers: Request a card reader to be picked up at the campus at which the event will take place (Card Reader Request Form).  After receiving confirmation that your organization secured a card reader, pick up the card reader the day of the event and return the next business day.  Directions on how to use the card reader can be found in the box with the card reader.

    Note: You can also collect attendance on Owl Life without the use of a card reader.  See "Contactless Event Check-in" in the Owl Life drop-down section below.

  • Student leaders who are listed as officers on their RSO's Owl Life roster can manage their RSO through Owl Life.  Please see the below Resource Guides to help you:

  • Each Weeks of Welcome (Fall semester) and Welcome Back Week (spring semester), RSOs may participate to recruit members and promote their organization.  RSOs can sign-up on Owl Life.  For more information, visit the Recruit section of the Recruiting and Engaging Members webpage.
