    The majority of students accepted to Kennesaw State University are choosing KSU as their school to attend, according to data from U.S. News & World Report. The U.S. News study determined that Kennesaw State has one of the nation’s highest admissions yield rates, meaning the percentage of admitted students who enroll. Of 8,847 accepted students, 5,347 enrolled at Kennesaw State in fall 2016 for a yield of 60.4 percent, ranking KSU 13th nationally and No. 1 in Georgia.  –  January 24, 2018

  • Kennesaw State STEM students to benefit from new math instruction

    Kennesaw State University undergraduate students pursuing STEM degrees will benefit from a new approach to teaching introductory mathematics courses. The University is one of only a handful invited to join the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU) in working to scale the adoption of active learning for undergraduate pre-calculus and calculus instruction.  –  January 23, 2018

  • MLK speaker: Continue King's legacy with selflessness, not selfies

    Deshawn Jamison is still acclimating to campus life after just his first week as a Kennesaw State student, but he wasn’t going to miss the University’s annual ceremony to celebrate the life and legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. Jamison, who transferred to KSU this semester, said he became interested at a young age in King’s civil rights leadership through non-violence and civil disobedience. Jamison grew up in Hinesville, Ga., and was inspired by visiting the nearby Dorchester Academy, an African-American historic site that hosted King’s planning meetings for his 1963 march on Birmingham. Jamison and everyone else attending Sunday’s ceremony at the Bailey Performance Center was issued a challenge by guest speaker Ed Gordon. Gordon, an Emmy Award-winning journalist, explained that advancing the equal-rights progress made by King and others will be possible only by putting action behind that dream.  –  January 16, 2018

    It’s a shame, really, that Kristi Piedimonte’s days setting volleyballs have come to an end. Before graduating from Kennesaw State University in December, Piedimonte was named First Team Academic All-America by the College Sports Information Directors of America, making her the first KSU student in any sport to receive the distinction.  –  January 14, 2018
