Sigma Lambda Upsilon/Señoritas Latinas Unidas Sorority, Inc., was founded on December 1, 1987 at Binghamton University as an organization that would provide sisterhood and support while also promoting academic achievement, service to the community, leadership, and cultural enrichment.
