The Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drug Education and Prevention Coalition is a community-wide collaborative of individuals, campus departments and community members interested in taking action for a healthier, safer campus environment.

The ATOD Coalition is co-chaired by Lindsay Montgomery, AOD Prevention Education Coordinator, and Dalida Brown, Health Promotion Coordinator. The coalition meets each semester to discuss programming, policy, research, education, grants and environmental issues and to support campus wide initiatives.

The ATOD Coalition collaborates on educational programs, awareness activities, and health protection programs for students that aim to create a healthy campus environment and minimize the harm incurred by problem behaviors. In addition, the Coalition researches, writes and collaborates grants for ATOD funding and research at Kennesaw State University, as well as collaborating with local leaders to limit student access to alcohol and other drugs, and support the efforts of local law enforcement. The Coalition investigates, coordinates and facilitates interaction with the greater Collegiate Community, including Cobb County, City of Kennesaw, City of Marietta, private business owners, and local student housing providers. The Coalition also reviews and makes recommended changes to AOD policies and coordinates the Biennial review.
