5K Races
On your mark, get set, GO! Sports and Recreation hosts 5K races at the KSU Sports and Recreation Park. Enjoy the looped course held on the paved walking trail with 2 bridge features and beautiful views of a 9 acre lake. Gather your friends and colleagues to run (or walk)!

Indoor Sprint Triathlon
The Indoor Sprint Triathlon challenges participants to compete in 3 sports! Participants are required to swim 300-yards in an indoor pool, ride 5-miles on a stationary bike, and run one-mile on a treadmill. This event is open to the KSU community and the public.

Swim
The swimming event will be a 300-yard timed swim in the lap pool and only caps and goggles will be permitted. The lap pool is a 25-yards with depth ranging 4 feet - 10 feet with 8 lanes. Seven lanes will be used for competition and one lane will be always available for participants to warm up. Spectators and non-competing participants can watch the event from pool deck bleachers. Each heat will have 15 minutes to complete their swim and participants will begin in the water at the shallow end of the pool. Each lane will have an event staff member with a timer recording their completion of the swim portion. -
Bike
Participants will cycle 5 miles using the stationary bikes in the MAC Gym. Inside the arena glass, bikes will be used for competition. Warm up bikes will be available. Spectators and non-competing participants can watch the event from outside the arena glass on the bleachers. Each heat will have 25 minutes to complete the cycling portion. -
Run
Participants will run one mile on the treadmills located on the second floor of the SRAC. Spectators and non-competing participants can watch the event from the open floor space near the stairwell. Each heat will have 15 minutes to complete the run portion.
RecDay
Commemorating the founding of the National Intramural and Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA) is the celebration of NIRSA Recreational Sports and Fitness Day or Rec Day held each February! This celebration remembers the vision ‘to celebrate health, activity, competition and inclusivity’.
Rock the Rec
The Rock the Rec Events are held each August to welcome the KSU community back for the fall semester! You'll get to participate in fun activities, learn about Sports and Recreation offerings and enjoy refreshments and giveaways!
