The mission of Health Promotion and Wellness is to improve the balance of the intellectual, emotional, physical, social, environmental, and spiritual development of students through awareness and education.
To support a healthy learning environment for students, Health Promotion and Wellness offers a variety of services and programs at a free or discounted cost. The programs and services offered support students’ overall wellness through health education workshops and events including, but not limited to, stress management programs, nutrition consultations and workshops, risk reduction education, CPR certification, and more.
BodyPositiveKSU (BI)College can present additional challenges for people experiencing eating and body image issues. Join a KSU dietitian and therapist for a 4-week workshop based on the Be Body Positive Model. You will learn five powerful Competencies to help you develop resources and a renewed energy to take care of your body. Participants who complete all 4 sessions will receive a special gift. Participants in the first session will have priority registration for the following sessions. Registration will open to the public on the following Thursday each week. Last person admitted at 3:30 PM. Students that participate receive a free T-Shirt, while supplies last.
