    Dr. Preston Davis is a serial entrepreneur, investor, and multidisciplinary operator with over twenty years of experience across startups, venture capital, and global service firms. He has worked closely with early-stage companies as both a founder and venture partner, and previously led a high-growth recreational company as CEO.

    Preston holds a BSBA in Economics from Auburn University, an MBA from Georgia Tech, a MAcc from UNC-Chapel Hill, and a DBA from Georgia State University

    With 30+ years of experience in public and private accounting, including a distinguished career as a partner at Devaney & Associates, Tom brings unmatched expertise in tax planning, M&A, and financial reporting. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the States of Georgia, New York, and California. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants (GSCPA). His leadership and commitment to excellence make him a pillar of our community.

    Dr. Marko Jocic is the Academic Director of KSU’s top-ranked Executive MBA program, where he is dedicated to developing future business leaders. With 25 years of international experience, he began as an electrical design engineer and advanced through cross-functional roles to SVP of Marketing and Sales before transitioning to academia. He previously taught part-time at UMass, Quinnipiac, and CCSU, earning multiple awards. Dr. Jocic brings real-world insight and a strong focus on applied learning into the classroom, leveraging emerging technology to enhance student engagement. He also remains active in industry through consulting and regularly publishes research on strategy, innovation, and entrepreneurship in leading business journals.

  • LaBrita Cash-Baskett
    Guest Lecturer of Business Communications

    Dr. LaBrita Cash-Baskett is an accomplished speech language pathologist, specializing in the application of clinical experience in organizational development and communication. She is a highly effective speaker who creates a direct line of sight between desired communication goals and the techniques that get you there, and she can teach you how to do the same. LaBrita can synthesize multiple data points, quickly assess situations and solutions, and coach and motivate others to produce extraordinary results.

    LaBrita holds an MA in Speech Language Pathology from Hampton University and an Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership from Argosy University, Sarasota.

  • Zahir Ladhani
    Guest Lecturer of Strategy & Leadership

    Zahir brings more than 30 years of ‘in the trenches’ experience with SaaS, Consumer, Human Capital, Pharmaceutical, and Management Consulting industries.  He is the CEO and co-founder of Velocity Strategic Consulting and a Scaling Up Rockefeller Habits Certified Coach.

    He holds a BS in Mathematics, Management Accounting from University of Waterloo and an MA in International Relations from Tufts University. 

  • Trisha Earls

    Guest Lecturer of Law

    Over her career as an attorney and company executive, Trisha has investigated more than 1,000 employee complaints. She started her legal career in Atlanta with Fisher Phillips and left private practice in 2001 to join Equifax, Inc. as Associate Group Counsel, where she managed all employment litigation for the $1.4 Billion company. Equifax named her its first Compliance and Ethics Officer, leading those efforts in the U.S. and eight other countries. Before joining The Hawkins Firm, she held CHRO roles, most recently as Chief People, Legal, and Compliance Officer for Tegra LLC.

    Trisha holds a Bachelor's in Political Science and Government from College of Charleston and a J.D., Law from The Ohio State University.
