The mission of Kennesaw State University's Institute for Cybersecurity Workforce Development is to:

  • Foster inter-disciplinary collaboration in cybersecurity workforce development across the University;
  • Develop and deliver educational opportunities, academic discovery, commercialization opportunities; and 
  • Help the State of Georgia support public and private sector workforce demands through the high-quality offering of certificates, degree programs, and ongoing education for managers and high-level executives.

Model Curriculum For Programs of Study in Security

Since 1999, Drs. Whitman & Mattord have documented their experiences in developing security curriculum, including graduate and undergraduate content based on their textbooks.  The programs developed to date include the BBA-Information Security and Assurance, the BS-Cybersecurity, and the newest program, the MS-Cybersecurity. They make their working document freely available to their peers and ask only that they provide feedback on their experiences in developing their degree programs and curriculum.
