Department of Psychological Science Academic Distinction Statement
The Department of Psychological Science is a large and dynamic department in the Norman J. Radow College of Humanities and Social Sciences. The department has more than 50 full-time and many part-time faculty supporting a major and minor in psychology, including a fully online undergraduate program. In the Department of Psychological Science, accomplished faculty guide students in the study of behavior and mental processes through a comprehensive program that promotes scientific thinking and cultivates transferable skills that lead to meaningful careers. Psychology majors gain valuable hands-on experiences and skill-building opportunities across the curriculum by engaging in high-impact practices such as study abroad programs, internships, peer mentoring, and research experiences.
