Student Loans for Summer

If you plan to attend summer classes at KSU for the current academic year and need federal financial aid, including the Pell Grant, you must have the 2024-2025 FAFSA on file. If you know you need financial aid to afford college — or if you think there's a chance you will need it — we encourage you to file the 2024-2025 FAFSA.

If you already have a 2024-2025 FAFSA on file, you do not need to file a new application.

You must also be enrolled at least half-time (six credit hours for undergraduate, five credit hours for graduate) in the summer and meet KSU’s Satisfactory Academic Progress standards to be considered for federal loans.

Transient Student Financial Aid

Transient students coming to KSU are not eligible to receive financial aid from KSU. You may only receive financial aid from your home institution. If you currently receive funding from the HOPE or Zell Miller Scholarship, please ask your home institution to send a transient certification to KSU.
