Please select from the below options for more information pertinent to you:

Returning Students from Gap in Learning

Students who have not been enrolled at KSU for three consecutive semesters (ex. Fall, Spring, and Summer), must reapply for admission.

Steps to reapply include:

    • Submit your application via GAfutures and $40 application fee online by the appropriate deadline for your desired semester of entry.

Please ensure that on page three, under Enrollment Information, you select the Readmitted Application Type.
    • Submit official transcripts from all colleges, universities, or schools attended after you were enrolled at Kennesaw State and before the time you apply for readmission. You are required to submit an official transcript from each college, whether credit was completed or not, to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at Kennesaw State University.
    • Official transcript(s) from high schools (if final transcripts were not previously submitted) or other colleges must be sent directly from the institution. If sent electronically, they must be sent through: Clearinghouse, GAfutures, Parchment, Scribbles, or SCOIR.
    • Transcripts can also be sent hard copy through the mail directly from the institution to:

Returning After Academic Dismissal

Students who are returning from academic dismissal must reapply to the University. Reinstatement is not automatic when completing the required semesters away.

When are you eligible to return?

  • After the first academic dismissal, a student may be considered for readmission after an absence of one semester.
  • After the second academic dismissal, a student may be considered for readmission after an absence of one calendar year from the end of the semester for which the second dismissal occurred.
  • After the third academic dismissal, the student will no longer be eligible for readmission.

Any exceptions to this policy must be appealed and approved by the Academic Standing Committee per BOR Policy Manual, Section 6.26. Information on academic appeals is available through the Office of the Registrar website.

Steps to reapply include:

    • Submit your application via GAfutures and $40 application fee online by the appropriate deadline for your desired semester of entry.
