Annet Couwenberg: Sewing Circles Exhibition Slated to Open at Zuckerman Museum of Art

The Bernard A. Zuckerman Museum of Art at Kennesaw State University School of Art and Design will present a unique exhibition: Annet Couwenberg: Sewing Circles, opening January 28 and running through May 10, 2025. Annet Couwenberg: Sewing Circles presents an overview of ten years of cultural research, digital experimentation, and finished artifacts by Couwenberg, who uses lace as a primary material. Through her creations, the artist questions how traditional textile construction can be modified or transformed by adapting it to digital fabrication processes.

"Interchange" Performance Brings ArtsKSU, Artist, and Collector Together for One Night

Don’t miss “Interchange,” an annual collaboration featuring faculty and alumni from all four disciplines of Kennesaw State University’s College of the Arts (ArtsKSU). Slated for Oct. 17 at 7 p.m., “Interchange” is presented by the Bernard A. Zuckerman Museum of Art, a unit of the School of Art and Design. This unique presentation of live, intimate performances celebrates the creativity that all artistic disciplines share with one another.

Metro Atlanta Art Teachers' Work Featured in Biennial Juried Exhibition at Zuckerman

The Zuckerman Museum of Art (ZMA), a unit of the School of Art and Design, is pleased to present a new exhibition featuring the work of metro Atlanta area art teachers. “Playful Encounters,” the Third Annual Biennial Exhibition for Art Educators, runs now through October 4, 2024. In the popular exhibition, pre-K to 12th grade teachers who primarily teach art are invited to highlight their own work. Juried by Athens-based artist Didi Dunphy, the exhibition is on display in the Fine Arts Gallery in the Wilson Building on KSU’s Kennesaw campus.

The Bernard A. Zuckerman Museum of Art, a unit of Kennesaw State University’s School of Art and Design, is pleased to host an extraordinary exhibition featuring the works of Jeffrey Gibson, one of today's foremost artists. The exhibition, Jeffrey Gibson: They Teach Love, From the Collections of Jordan D. Schnitzer and His Family Foundation, will showcase over 35 captivating objects spanning 15 years of Gibson's prolific career. The free exhibition runs from August 27 to December 7, 2024.

In Memoriam: Philanthropist Robert "Bob" Geer

The College of the Arts at Kennesaw State University mourns the loss of donor Mr. Robert S. “Bob” Geer, who passed away March 28, 2024, a few weeks shy of turning 100. In October 2022, Mr. Geer announced a transformational commitment: the College of the Arts would be the recipient of the Geer Family Estate.
