How to Withdraw from Classes
Students will log in to Owl Express to withdraw from courses online. Follow the link for “Class Withdrawal” under the Registration tab, and be sure you read all information presented to you. Please note, withdrawing from classes and dropping classes are not the same process and will be in two different locations.
Class withdrawal is a multi-step process:
- First: Review your schedule of classes and select the class you are attempting to withdraw from. You must do this for each individual class.
- Next: The next page will show you the grade you will be earning and ask you for a reason as to why you are withdrawing.
- Final step: Choose “Yes, process withdrawal request” or “No, I’ve Changed My Mind.”

You will be redirected back to the first page that will show your schedule of classes,
and the updated eligibility status will read **Withdrawn**. There is a note above your schedule that states: Please print a copy of this withdrawal form for your records.
Emergency Withdrawal:
When an emergency occurs during the current term, and the withdrawal deadline has passed, the student may contact the Office of the Dean of Students to appeal for an administrative emergency withdrawal. For more information, visit the Division of Student Affairs.
